Capstone is a privately held debt, bridge and mezzanine fund which executes bridge and mezzanine loan transactions to middle-market companies in the United States with bridge and mezzanine debt financings side by side with other financing partners. Capstone has participated in closing the following transactions: Auto Centrix, Inc. (autocentrix.com) $2,500,000; Jupiter Global Holdings Corp (jupiterglobal.net) $10,000,000; and Firearms Training Systems Inc. (fatsinc.com) $70,000,000.

Attorney Gregory Frassrand

Attorney Gregory Frassrand supervises the real estate transaction and corporate practice areas for Thompson, O'Brien, Kemp, Nasuti, P.C. Mr. Frassrand maintains a varied real estate practice, representing a variety of clients, including real estate developers, investors and builders, as well as commercial and residential lenders in real estate financing transactions. He structures like-kind exchanges under Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code for transactions involving both real property and personal property transfers, and also acts as qualified intermediary and qualified exchange accommodator in deferred and reverse exchange transactions. Mr. Frassrand regularly lectures to attorneys, accountants and real estate professionals concerning like-kind exchange transactions. Mr. Frassrand has spent16 years in private practice in both Atlanta, Georgia and in Michigan where, in addition to real estate transactions, he primarily focused his practice in the areas of commercial transactions and business planning, typically involving counseling closely held business owners. Having an accounting degree and a law masters in taxation in addition to his years of experience working with closely held businesses, Mr. Frassrand is able to provide clients with advice on a multitude of business, legal and tax issues. Along with his Kirkland Media board duties Mr. Frassrand also serves as General Counsel for Kirkland Media, LLC.

Vaughn D. Irons

Vaughn D. Irons is the National Director of Housing & Community Investment in the Expanding Markets Department of Freddie Mac. In that capacity, Mr. Irons assists Freddie Mac’s customers in developing solutions to their community’s housing finance needs by designing affordable housing programs that combine Freddie Mac’s single family lending products with programs administered by state, local and community-based organizations. Mr. Irons is also responsible for the oversight of activities and initiatives that involve minority lending, immigrant lending, homeownership counseling and new technology applications. Mr. Irons came to Freddie Mac as the SE Regional Manager of Community Development Lending. Previously, Mr. Irons served as Director of Housing for Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Atlanta where he developed and managed a program, which provided housing counseling services to over 4000 families annually. Before coming to CCCS, Mr. Irons worked for the Fulton County, Georgia Board of Commissioners as a Constituent Services Representative often handling real estate development and zoning related concerns.Mr. Irons began his career in Consumer Banking for Syracuse Savings Bank and later for Fleet Bank of New York before he went on to work for the Human Rights Commission of Onondaga County, New York. There, Mr. Irons was responsible for research on job and housing discrimination issues. Mr. Irons has been involved in affordable housing issues in Georgia where, as president, he led the Atlanta-Fulton-DeKalb Housing Partnership. Mr. Irons serves as Vice-chairman for the Fulton County Housing Community Development Corporation, is on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the Neighborhood Development Foundation of New Orleans, the Community Housing Resource Center of Atlanta, Reynoldstown Revitalization Corporation, the Rockstone Foundation and the National Foundation for Credit Counseling Housing Advisory Committee.Mr. Irons holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, an undergraduate degree in Urban Policy from Syracuse University and a graduate-level certification in Housing and Community Development also from the University of Maryland College Park.

Michael Long

Michael Long role as a board member for Kirkland Media is multi facet. Michael is in charge of centralizing and directing the business affair’s functions for the Company. He is a key element in the development and execution of our overall partnership strategy that aligns with the Company's operating priorities.  Michael is an industry veteran who serves as an operation manager for Clear Channel Communication in Montgomery, Alabama.

Attorney Ephraim L. Michael

Attorney Ephraim L. Michael is a transactional attorney with extensive experience in the areas of real estate, intellectual property and corporate law. Michael received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Tuskegee University and worked for several years as a design engineer with International Paper Company. Mr. Michael received his law degree from the Columbia University School of Law in New York City where he was an editor of the Columbia-VLA Journal of Law and the Arts and is a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Michael was an associate at Greenberg Traurig, LLP and practiced in the areas of corporate finance, intellectual property, and entertainment law. During his tenure with Powell, Goldstein, Frazer, and Murphy he was an associate at over 300 attorney law firms practicing in the areas of corporate technology and entertainment law. Michael held the title of Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs at Platinum Entertainment which is a NASDAQ listed record company with annual revenues of approximately $65M. Michael was responsible for transactions involving Platinum's distribution division (PED Distribution Corp.) and its Atlanta based record labels including domestic and international distribution deals, recording and production deals, and licensing deals. His duties included negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts, and the development and analysis of profit and loss for each project. He was also responsible for general corporate legal matters. Michael represents clients in commercial and residential real estate transactions and related matters throughout the State of Georgia. Michael is a closing agent for Lawyer’s Title Insurance Corporation and Old Republic Title Insurance Company. Michael also has extensive experience representing companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters as well as drafting and negotiating of a variety of commercial contracts.

David Todd Jr. is a first vice president of the office brokerage division at CB Richard Ellis in Atlanta. Todd brings more than 8 years of experience to clients as a specialist in tenant representation and real estate acquisitions.Todd specializes in assisting clients in developing real estate strategies to support technology and flexibility challenges associated with growth and change.He works with a broad range of clients that have included Goodworks International, Rare Hospitality, Michael Page International, Fulton County Government, Radio-One (Atlanta & Charlotte), HomeVantage Properties,  and Four Spots.  He has been involved with real estate acquisitions for clients such as Atlanta Gas Light Resources, Matlock Advertising, McNeil Management, Kirkland Media Productions, OneStop Productions, and Cottage Properties. Previously, Todd worked with Newmark Knight Frank focusing on office leasing and real estate acquisitions.  Before joining Newmark, Todd was affiliated with the firm of Julien J. Studley. Prior to his career in real estate, Todd was CEO of an Internet software company, Laconic Logic, where he provided strategic vision, raised venture funding and developed partnership alliances.  Todd’s software was used in the early engineering stages of the Atlantic Station project in Atlanta.While attending the Harvard Business School in 1991, Todd assembled a team that developed an Urban Land Institute report entitled The Impact of the 1996 Olympics on the Atlanta Commercial Real Estate Market, later published in the Urban Land magazine and the Atlanta Journal Constitution.Todd is actively involved with the Midtown Alliance, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team-In-Training, and coaching youth sports. He is a board member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, the Ft. McPherson Local Redevelopment Authority, Kirkland Media, and CHAMPS (men’s health advocacy). Todd received a BA from Morehouse College and an MBA from The Harvard Business School where he was awarded the Johnson & Johnson Leadership Fellow.
